The Citizens Depopulation Program

Citizens is designed to be a true insurer of last resort when all options have been exhausted and encourages the growth of private insurance companies in the state of Florida. With Florida Legislature authorization, the depopulation program pairs Citizens policyholders with approved private insurance companies.

This program benefits policyholders by not only offering more coverage options but also strengthens Florida’s insurance market and helps reduce costs for all property insurance consumers, creating a healthier insurance environment for Florida’s growing number of residents.
